The second quarter of the year serves up new K-dramas to watch out for including the Park Bo-young and Seo In-guk fantasy drama “Doom at Your Service.” Meanwhile, Kim Bum stars as a law student in the upcoming mystery drama “Law School” with Ryu Hye-young and Kim Myung-min. Jung Il-woo, on the other hand, is back with another historical drama entitled “Bossam: Steal the Fate.”

Kim Bum Enters ‘Law School’

“Law School” is set in the prestigious law school of Hankuk University. The students and professors get entangled in the death of a former prosecutor and law school professor. Their mission is to find out the truth about his death.

The cherub-faced Kim Bum stars as Han Joon-hwi, a freshman law student who’s at the top of his class. Han Joon-hwi aspires to become a principled prosecutor. However, his character seems to be more than meets the eye, as he is described as someone with a secret.

Ryu Hye-young stars opposite Kim Bum. Many would remember her as Sung Bo-ra in “Reply 1988.” She plays the role of Kang Sol, who’s tenacious but barely makes it to law school. Meanwhile, Kim Myung-min is criminal law professor Yang Jong-hoon, who becomes one of the murder suspects.

“Law School” replaces “Sisyphus: the Myth” on the Wednesday-Thursday 9 p.m. slot of JTBC and will be streamed on Netflix.

Park Bo-young, Seo In-guk Test Drama Chemistry in ‘Doom at Your Service’

Park Bo-young and Seo In-guk are back in the tvN drama “Doom at Your Service.” This fantasy romance follows the story of Tak Dong-kyung (Park Bo-young), a web novel editor who lives an ordinary life. However, her fate changes after she meets Myul Mang (Seo In-guk). Myul Mang acts like a middle manager between God and humans. He also causes everything he touches to vanish.

Park Bo-young and Seo In-guk look good together onscreen so there is much anticipation for this drama. The official poster also gives us a sneak peak of the chemistry we could expect from the main leads.

“Doom At Your Service” will take over “Navillera” on the Monday-Tuesday 9 p.m. slot of tvN.

Jung Il-woo Star in ‘Bossam: Steal the Fate’

Jung Il-woo has had a lot of luck in the past with historical dramas so it’s not surprising that he chose another “sageuk.” “Bossam: Steal the Fate” is set in the Joseon dynasty. Bossam refers to the custom wherein a bachelor kidnaps a widow and makes her his wife.

Jung Il-woo plays the role of Bau, who does bossam for a living. However, his fate changes when he mistakenly kidnaps the princess Soo-kyeong. Girls’ Generation’s Kwon Yuri plays the role of the princess.

“Bossam: Steal the Fate” is MBN’s 10th anniversary special drama and is slated for a weekend time slot.
