Prime Video announced Tuesday that fantasy rom-com series “My Man Is Cupid,” starring Jang Dong-yoon and NANA, will be available on Prime Video in the Philippines and more than 240 countries and territories worldwide starting Friday, December 1. Episodes will be released weekly every Friday and Saturday.
“My Man Is Cupid” features a star-crossed love story between a love fairy and a human woman. Cheon Sang-hyuk (Jang Dong-yoon) is a love fairy who lost his wings in a tragic incident 500 years ago. Since then, he has been going through metamorphoses and living as a human in order to regain his wings. He comes across Oh Baek-ryun (NANA), a veterinary surgeon whose beauty attracts many men. Unfortunately, men who try to get romantically involved with her are inexplicably struck by supernatural accidents. The pair who have been unlucky in love feel drawn to one another, but will fate be on their side?
Jang Dong-yoon is known for his roles in dramas such as “Oasis,” “The Tale of Nokdu,” and “Search.” He started his acting career after gaining attention as a university student who caught an armed robber in a convenience store.
Meanwhile, NANA recently impressed Korean content audiences with her acting in “Mask Girl.” She is also known for her roles in other series such as “The Good Wife” and “Oh My Ladylord.” Director Nam Tae-jin, who has worked on “Switch: Change the World,” “Lovers of the Red Sky,” and “Jinx,” will be helming the drama. The series is written by Heo Seong-hee, who previously wrote “One More Happy Ending.” Park Ki-woong (“Pandora: Beneath the Paradise”) and Kwon Ah-reum (“The Killing Vote”) round out the main cast.
Prime Video customers in the Philippines and 240 countries and territories worldwide will be able to stream “My Man Is Cupid” starting December 1.
“My Man Is Cupid” joins thousands of other shows and films available on the Prime Video catalog, such as “Linlang,” “In My Mother’s Skin,” “Takeshi’s Castle,” “Simula sa Gitna,” “Comedy Island Philippines,” “Rookie,” “Ten Little Mistresses,” “Cattleya Killer,” and “Fit Check: Confessions of an Ukay Queen.”
Korean titles are also available on Prime Video, including “BTS: Yet to Come,” “Jinny’s Kitchen,” “Island,” “The Kidnapping Day,” “The Killing Vote,” “HeartBeat,” “Lies Hidden in My Garden,” “Tale of The Nine Tailed 1938.”
Also on Prime Video are anime hits such as “Rurouni Kenshin”; award-winning and critically acclaimed Amazon Originals like “Gen V,” “Citadel,” “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power,” “The Boys,” and “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan”; and Emmy and Golden Globe winners ”Fleabag” and ”The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.”
