
In case you missed it, “Family by Choice” actor Hwang In-youp will be in Manila this month for the Philippine leg of his fan meeting tour.
The “2024-25 Hwang In Youp Fanmeeting Tour: In Love in Manila” is set to happen on January 25, 2025, 7:00 p.m., at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City. It is part of the Viu Scream Dates series.
Tickets are now available via TicketNet’s official website and all TicketNet outlets nationwide. Prices of tickets to the “In Love in Manila” fan meeting range from P3,800 to P9,800, exclusive of ticketing charges.
All ticketholders will be able to participate in the Hi-Bye session and receive a photocard and a poster. Meanwhile, VIP 1 and VIP 2 holders will also receive a chance to win a slot in the fansign session. MVP ticket holders will enjoy the same benefits, plus a group photo with Hwang In-youp.

Hwang In-youp and the Philippines
Before he became famous, Hwang In-youp lived and studied in Davao City. He finished high school at the Philippine Nikkei Jin Kai International School and received a fine arts degree from the Philippine Women’s University.
He held his first fan meeting in the Philippines on June 19, 2022, also at the New Frontier Theater. Before the fan meeting, he held a press conference for the beauty brand BYS.
In a video posted by Viu, Hwang In-youp expressed how he misses his Filipino fans.
“I was super glad and happy because of your warm cheers and the lots of love you’ve given me at my last meeting,” he said as he asked his fans to look forward to his January 25 fanmeet.
Han Seo-jun of ‘True Beauty’
Hwang In-youp gained popularity in his role as Han Seo-jun in the Korean drama “True Beauty,” where he was in a love triangle with Moon Ga-young and Cha Eun-woo. He also contributed to the drama’s soundtrack with the song “It Starts Today,” which has garnered over 9 million streams on Spotify.
In his latest series, “Family by Choice,” he portrays San-ha, a popular boy who forged a strong bond with fellow teenagers Yoon Ju-won, played by Jung Chae-yeon, and Kang Hae-jun, depicted by Bae Hyun-sung. In the drama, the trio, all of whom grew up without mothers, were lovingly raised by two fathers and lived like siblings.
“Family by Choice” is available on Viu.
Hwang In-youp debuted on TV in the sageuk “The Tale of Nokdu” in 2019. He also starred in the K-dramas “18 Again,” “The Sound of Magic,” and “Why Her.” He began his career as a model before transitioning to acting.
