After weeks of daily teasers and a dazzling space-inspired reveal, XG has officially launched “GALA,” a high-octane runway anthem and the lead single from their upcoming first full album, set for release on January 23, 2026.

The music video reimagines the Met Gala as the futuristic “X Gala Show,” with the seven members — JURIN, CHISA, HINATA, HARVEY, JURIA, MAYA, and COCONA — descending from space capsules, not as guests but as the stars themselves. Bold styling, surreal visuals, and commanding choreography underscore XG’s signature X-POP identity, which fuses music, fashion, and performance.

More than just a song, “GALA” signals a new era for the group. Their first full-length album promises to be an honest reflection of who they are today, blending genres and eras while staying rooted in the belief that good music speaks for itself.

Alongside the release, XG unveiled striking new artist photos and a TikTok “Song Card” feature, making it easier for fans worldwide to discover and stream the track.

This October, the group will appear at festivals across China from October 2–7 and headline Coca-Cola X Fes 2025 in Japan on October 12, further cementing their global reach.

Since debuting in March 2022 with “Tippy Toes,” XG has consistently made history: they were the first Japanese artists to top Billboard’s “Hot Trending Songs Powered by Twitter,” the first Japanese girl group on the U.S. Billboard magazine cover, and the only Japanese act to perform at Coachella 2025. Their upcoming album builds on these milestones, positioning them at the forefront of a new cultural wave.

The group’s name, “XG,” stands for “Xtraordinary Girls,” reflecting their commitment to empowering people from diverse backgrounds around the world through their boundary-defying music and performances.
