Epiphone has announced a new addition to its global artist roster with the launch of the Epiphone Lee Seung-yoon LSY-200 Studio EC, a modern signature acoustic-electric created in partnership with Korean superstar singer-songwriter Lee Seung-yoon.

The release marks a new milestone for the brand, introducing Lee as Epiphone’s first Korean signature artist, reflecting Epiphone’s focus on instruments that honor tradition while meeting players where the music is happening now — on stages, in clubs, and across festivals worldwide.

The Epiphone Lee Seung-yoon LSY-200 Studio EC arrived on May 15, 2026, at authorized Epiphone dealers across Asia, with initial distribution throughout South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand.

“The Lee Seung-yoon LSY-200 Studio EC is a modern signature guitar built to honor heritage while speaking to today’s players,” says Aljon Go, Product Manager at Epiphone. “It blends iconic J-200 DNA with Lee Seung-yoon’s artistry and thoughtful, performance-ready details — delivering the quality players expect from Epiphone at a highly approachable entry point into the Inspired by Gibson acoustic world.”

The Epiphone Lee Seung-yoon LSY-200 Studio EC is built on the foundation of the J-200 Studio EC Super Jumbo cutaway — pairing a legendary silhouette associated with big, room-filling acoustic tone with an artist-led aesthetic and stage-ready functionality, making the ideal canvas for Lee’s acoustic-forward songwriting and upcoming album cycle.

The Epiphone Lee Seung-yoon LSY-200 Studio EC features a Super Jumbo body with a cutaway for expanded upper-fret access, combining a solid spruce top with a layered maple body finished in Antique Natural gloss. A mahogany neck carved to a 1960s SlimTaper D profile offers comfortable playability, while a rosewood fingerboard with J-200 pearloid crown inlays nods to the model’s storied roots.

Signature appointments sharpen the guitar’s identity: a Kalamazoo headstock with the Epiphone Modern logo and Gibson crown inlay is complemented by a subtly silk-screened Lee Seung-yoon signature graphic on the rear, while a custom artist-designed pickguard with gold artwork and a matching custom truss rod cover bring an unmistakably personal visual voice to the instrument. Premium touches continue through gold Grover Rotomatic tuners and gold hardware throughout, reinforcing the LSY-200’s elevated look on stage and in the studio.

Designed to meet the needs of contemporary performers and songwriters, the Epiphone LSY-200 Studio EC is positioned as an approachable entry into the Inspired by Gibson acoustic world while maintaining the feel, look, and presence players expect from the J-200 lineage.
