Colgate Optic White Purple launched “The Purple Café,” an APAC-wide social-first campaign, today. Expanding its footprint in the Korean beauty space, the brand is moving beyond traditional advertising to introduce episodic storytelling across TikTok and major regional markets.

Samir Singh, the executive vice president of marketing for Colgate-Palmolive in the Asia Pacific region, noted the shift in modern content consumption. “We are incredibly proud to unveil the next evolution of the incredibly successful Colgate Optic White Purple franchise with our social-first ‘Purple Café’ K-Drama series,” Singh said. He added that the campaign elevates the brand’s connection to Korean beauty by positioning the product as a pivotal character that playfully boosts the protagonists’ confidence.

The six-part series stars top Asian influencers instead of traditional actors. It reimagines classic K-drama tropes, including awkward blind dates, and judgmental relatives. In each episode, the product acts as the narrative catalyst, transforming social friction into empowered confidence.

Content creators involved in the project include Andrea Nicole and Evan Tan from the Philippines, Baby Jingko and Cute Kiw from Thailand, and Malle Christian Anderson from Malaysia.

In a partnership exclusive to TikTok, the campaign also invites consumers to script their own narratives to one-up AI-generated antagonists. This initiative democratizes storytelling, emphasizing the belief that human creativity can often outsmart artificial intelligence. Fans can watch the full series on the official TikTok accounts for Colgate Philippines, Colgate Thailand, and Colgate Malaysia.
