This October, two mismatched souls will find love in the unlikeliest of places when the upcoming K-drama “Between Steps” launches Oct. 5 on Disney+ Philippines.
Set in a university robotics lab, “Between Steps” follows Min-jae, a doctoral candidate and former swimmer forced to give up on his dream of becoming a professional athlete after losing his leg. Reserved and unable to get over his fear of getting hurt, Min-jae has avoided romance his entire life, but when You-jin arrives as a fresh transfer from her clothing and textiles course, things begin to change for the better.
Branded a troublemaker and the complete opposite of Min-jae in every sense, You-jin is known for cutting to the chase, and while the duo initially feel distant and awkward around each other, an unexpected attraction begins to grow between the mismatched pair.
“Between Steps” stars Choo Young-woo (“Head over Heels,” “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call”) as Park Min-jae, a doctoral candidate teaching in a university robotics lab, and Kim So-hyun (“GOOD BOY,” “Love Alarm”) as Lim You-jin, a former clothing and textiles student who stumbles into a new field after being prevented from graduating.
It is written by Min Hyo-jung (“Attic Cat,” “Full House”) and directed by Ahn Pan-suk (“The White Tower,” “Secret Love Affair,” and “Heard it Through the Grapevine”).
Set to premiere on Disney+ on Oct. 5, the 12-part series “Between Steps” will have new episodes available for audiences to stream every Monday and Tuesday.
