It’s the time of the year again when the Korean Cultural Center of the Philippines launches its Korean Film Festival, this time with the theme “Family Time.”

Korean film enthusiasts and fans gathered yesterday at SM Megamall Cinema 4 for the start of the film fest which opened by showing the fantasy-comedy film Jeon Woo Chi starring Kang Dong Won and Lim Soo Jung.  It is the story of the Taoist Wizard Woo Chi who had to recover the Pipe of Prophecy to be able to defeat the evil goblins.  Sounds like it came from Lord of the Rings, ne? But this movie is more than that.  With the combined excellent acting skills, exciting actions scenes and comedic timing of the actors, it was able to enthrall the audience and made them laugh and gasp in excitement throughout the whole duration of the movie, which was a little more than two hours.  And for the Filipinos, the ending was much more special but you have to watch it to find out.

Showcasing seven movies with different genres, the film festival will run for a total of 16 days in three different venues, SM Megamall, SM Baguio and SM Cebu starting from September 18 to October 7, 2012.  Admission is FREE so you can watch as much movies as you like.
