Viva Films on Friday released the official poster for its horror-comedy film “Pee Mak,” starring Wilbert Ross and Bea Binene.
Directed by Victor Villanueva, Viva’s “Pee Mak” is the Philippine adaptation of Thailand’s highest-grossing domestic film of all time.
The poster features Binene and Ross holding a bundled baby against a moonlit landscape. The lower portion features fellow cast members Vandolph, Gian Bernardino, Jairus Aquino, and TJ Valderrama.
Also starring in “Pee Mak” are Janno Gibbs, Candy Pangilinan, and Jerome Ponce.
The film follows Mak, a soldier who returns home from war with his friends to reunite with his wife, Pee-nang, and their newborn child. Although Mak is happy to be back with his family, his friends begin noticing strange things about his wife, leading to a startling discovery about her true nature.
Its trailer offers a glimpse of the friends’ creepy yet comedic adventures as they confront the truth, while Mak and Pee-nang struggle to stay together.
The original Thai film, released in 2013, starred Mario Maurer and Davika Hoorne.
