Baekhyun of EXO will be holding his first solo concert in Manila on April 13 as part of his 2024 Baekhyun Asia Tour “Lonsdaleite.”

The concert will be held at the Araneta Coliseum, according to social media posts of concert and events promoter Wilbros Live. Ticket prices and other details are yet to be announced.

“Lonsdaleite,” the title of Baekhyun’s concert tour, refers to a diamond-like mineral from outer space.

Baekhyun’s 2024 Asia concert tour will kick off on March 16 for a two-day concert at the KSPO Dome in Seoul, South Korea. The tour will also include Singapore and Hong Kong. He will also perform at Taipei, Taiwan; Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam; Jakarta, Indonesia; and Bangkok, Thailand. In Japan, his tour will include Tokyo, Chiba, Fukuoka, Kobe, and Sendai.

Baekhyun, whose real name is Byun Baek-hyun, is a member of EXO, its subgroup EXO-K, and its subunit EXO-CBX. He was introduced as the ninth member of EXO months before the boyband debuted in April 2012.

In 2013, Baekhyun visited the Philippines with EXO for the Dream Kpop Fantasy Concert in January and with EXO-K for Kpop Republic in September.

Baekhyun in K-dramas

Baekhyun started his solo career in 2019 with the launch of “City Lights,” his debut extended play. In 2020, he released “My Time,” a ballad, for the OST of “Record of Youth,” which stars Park Bo-gum and Park So-dam.

Baekhyun himself also appeared in the 2016 K-drama “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo” as 10th Prince Wang Eun. The prince was the first friend in Goryeo of the main female character Hae Soo, played by IU.

A year before that, he and his fellow EXO members played fictionalized versions of themselves in “EXO Next Door.” The web series also featured Moon Ga-young, whose character lives beside the house rented by Baekhyun, Chanyeol, D.O, and Sehun.

Baekhyun recently launched his own agency, INB100 Entertainment, which will manage his solo career, as well as that of fellow EXO members Chen and Xiumin and their EXO subunit, EXO-CBX. Meanwhile, EXO as a group will continue to remain under SM Entertainment.
