Big Hit Entertainment, the agency of South Korean boyband BTS, confirmed on Monday that the group’s members will be entering the compulsory military service.

“BIGHIT MUSIC is proud to announce today that the members of BTS are currently moving forward with plans to fulfill their military service,” the agency said in a statement.

The announcement follows BTS’ “Yet to Come in Busan” concert in support of Busan’s bid for the World Expo 2030.

The eldest member Jin will be enlisting after the schedule for his solo release is concluded at the end of October. Meanwhile, the other members Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook will be entering the military based on their individual plans.

“As part of the HYBE family, we support and encourage our artists and are beyond proud that they will each now have time to explore their unique interests and do their duty by being of service to the country they call home.”

Finally, BTS’ label promised the ARMY, the group’s legions of fans worldwide, that there’s more to come from the phenomenal K-pop septet. It said the company and the BTS members “are looking forward to reconvening as a group again around 2025” after their military service.

“Yet To Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)” is more than a track from their latest album, it is a promise, there’s much more yet to come in the years ahead from BTS.”

After the announcement, BTS’s fans expressed their love and support for the group on social media. On Twitter, BTS-related topics dominated the trends. As of this writing, these are among the trending topics on Twitter Philippines: “ForeverWithBTS,” “Bangtan,” “WE WILL WAIT FOR YOU,” “seokjin,” “ARMY,” “FOR LIFE,” “FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE,” “WE LOVE YOU BTS,” “WE TRUST YOU,” “BY 2025,” and “#석진아사랑해하트.”
