Disney+ is set to delight viewers with “Would You Marry Me?” — a charming 12-part romantic comedy starring Choi Woo-shik (“Parasite,” “A Killer Paradox”) and Jung So-min (“Love Next Door,” “Alchemy of Souls”). The series premieres on October 10.

The story centers on Yoo Me-ri, a local designer who recently ended her engagement. When she wins a coveted newlywed lottery for a $5 million luxury townhouse, she discovers one catch — she must convince the lottery board she’s happily married within 90 days.

Enter Kim Woo-ju, the fourth-generation heir to Korea’s oldest bakery, who happens to share the same name as Meri’s ex. Together, they embark on a whirlwind sham marriage, all while trying to outsmart an ever-suspicious investigator.

“Would You Marry Me?” is penned by Lee Ha-na and directed by Song Hyun-wook and Hwang In-hyeok. The series promises laugh-out-loud moments, tender chemistry, and a fresh spin on the fake-marriage trope.

While waiting for its premiere, fans of Korean dramas can stream other hits on Disney+, including “Nine Puzzles,” “A Shop for Killers,” “Hyper Knife,” and “Moving.”
