Top Korean stars Park Seo-joon, Yoo Jae-suk, Song Joong-ki, and Yoo In-na are among those who have generously donated to help the flood victims in Korea.

South Korea has been experiencing consecutive weeks of rain, their wettest monsoon season in the last seven years. At least 15 people have died and more than 1,500 individuals have been displaced due to floods and landslides.

The Korea Disaster Relief Association has asked for donations to help the flood victims and among those who heeded the call were some of the top Hallyu stars.

Actor Park Seo-joon donated more than $83,000 (more than P4 million). Comedian and host Yoo Jae-suk donated the same amount. Meanwhile, Hallyu star Song Joong-ki gave around $42,000 (P2 million) to the cause. Actress Yoo In-na shared the same amount as well as singer Kim Jong-kook.

The donations will be used to help the homeless victims and to rehabilitate damaged infrastructure.

A number of Korean celebrities have been generous to various causes in the past. This year, a handful of them have made financial donations to help their country amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now that’s idol-worthy! We stan celebrities who know how to give back.
