This year, 72 of Korea’s top fashionistas will be loading up their shears, pins, steamers, and sewing machines for the chance to become Korea’s next fashion icon in “Style Wars” (working title) — an all-new reality survival series coming exclusively to Disney+.
Featuring fashion lovers from all walks of life including hobbyists, college students, pensioners, influencers, amateurs, and professionals, the upcoming survival show will see some of Korea’s best dressed compete against each other in a series of high-stakes challenges designed to cut away the excess fabric and unveil Korea’s next top fashionista.
Hosted by the multifaceted actress Lee Hyeri, the show stars a veritable who’s who of fashion lovers and unexpected hobbyists from across the country. Contestants’ creations will be judged by a panel of experts including former supermodel Hong Jin-kyung, brand designer Jung Wook-jun, former model Bae Jung-nam, and renowned fashion stylist Choi Hee-seung, famously known as Stylist Unnie.
“Style Wars” (working title) is produced by Shijak Company’s (“Single’s Inferno”) Kim Na-hyun, Jung Jong-chan, and Kim Hye-in and is written by Youn Shin-hye (“Kian’s Bizarre B&B”).
“Style Wars” (working title) is the latest title to be revealed as part of the ever-expanding library of world-class Korean content set to arrive on Disney+.
