"Husbands in Action"
Netflix

Netflix set June 19 as the global premiere date for the action-comedy film “Husbands in Action,” and released last month its teaser trailer and poster.

The story follows an ex-husband and a current husband who are forced to team up, offering an entertaining watch for audiences seeking action and comedy.

The teaser trailer introduces narcotics detective Choong-sik, played by Jin Sun-kyu, and Min-seok, played by Gong Myung. Min-seok is the current husband of Choong-sik’s ex-wife, Si-nae, who is portrayed by Kang Han-na.

An ego battle begins when the two men cross paths at their daughter’s school event, highlighting their rivalry as a father and a stepfather. The situation shifts when they discover that Si-nae and their daughter have been abducted. The two men, who strongly dislike each other, form an unexpected partnership to save the people they love.

As the video shows the rescue mission, viewers see the ex-husband and the current husband bickering and fighting their way through danger. The action sequences maintain a comedic tone, using timing and character reactions to keep the atmosphere light. The mismatched energy between the seasoned detective and the younger, determined civilian drives the humor.
