A new K-drama reportedly starring Kim Seon-ho and Go Youn-jung is set to begin filming in June, according to a report by Korean business news site thebell.
The new drama, now referred to in reports as “Can Love Be Translated,” follows an interpreter and an actress. Being polar opposites in terms of their love language, will they be able to understand each other?
Hong Jung-eun and Hong Mi-ran, known as Hong Sisters, wrote the script. The duo also penned beloved K-dramas like “You’re Beautiful,” “Hotel del Luna,” and “Alchemy of Souls.”
Quoting industry sources, thebell reported that the company behind the new drama is currently in pre-production. Filming will commence by June and include Italy as an overseas location. They target to complete filming early next year.
Kim Seon-ho, Go Youn-jung in K-drama about love and translation
The new K-drama starring Kim Seon-ho and Go Youn-jung is expected to be streamed on Netflix. It is also known as “Can You Translate This Love?” and “Can This Love Be Interpreted?”
It can be recalled that Korean entertainment media reported last year that Kim Seon-ho and Go Youn-jung were in talks to star in a Hong Sisters drama. We have not yet come across any formal announcement regarding the final casting. Despite this, many fans of Kim Seon-ho and Go Youn-jung anticipate the pair’s supposed new project.
Kim Seon-ho is in Thailand, reportedly shooting as a guest in the season 2 of the variety show “Eating Brothers.” He was last seen in the action thriller film “The Childe.” His next series, “The Tyrant,” will stream on Disney+ this year.
On April 13, Kim Seon-ho is set to hold the Manila leg of his 2024 Asia fan meeting tour. He is also launching with NutriAsia’s UFC a new line of Korean-inspired meal mixes.
For her part, Go Youn-jung will be seen next in the tvN drama “Resident Playbook.” A spinoff series of the much-loved “Hospital Playlist,” this drama follows doctors at the Jongno branch of the fictional Yulje Medical Center.
Go Youn-jung recently starred in the blockbuster Disney series “Moving,” which is about young people with extraordinary abilities. She also appeared in the hit Prime Video reincarnation drama “Death’s Game.”
