Park Seo-joon will have a cameo appearance in Park Bo-gum’s drama “Record of Youth.” It seems like Park Seo-joon is returning the favor as Park Bo-gum also appeared in his recent drama “Itaewon Class.”
An official from Park Seo-joon’s agency Awesome Entertainment confirmed the good news. Park Seo-joon is said to be close to Ha Myung-hee, the screenwriter of “Record of Youth.” The actor appeared in the 2013 drama “One Warm Word,” written by the same screenwriter.
No other details have been given about Park Seo-joon’s cameo role in the drama series. His special appearance is expected to attract more viewers. Ratings for the drama continue to rise, with its 4th episode posting the highest viewership rating yet.
Park Seo-joon’s Cameo
It’s interesting to note that Park Seo-joon appeared in the same movie as Park So-dam, the lead actress of “Record of Youth.” Park Seo-joon had a cameo role in the Oscar-winning film “Parasite” where he played the role of Min Hyuk. Min Hyuk is the best friend of Jessica’s (Park So-dam) brother Ki-woo, played by Park Seo-joon’s real life best friend Choi Woo-shik.
Cameo Trend on K-dramas
It has been a trend for K-dramas to invite popular actors to do cameo roles. Park Bo-gum appeared in the finale of “Itaewon Class” as a chef applying for a job at Oh Soo-ah’s (Kwon Nara) restaurant. He wins her over not just by his looks but also by his cooking skills.
Kim Soo-hyun also made some memorable appearances in recent K-dramas. He appeared in the finale of “Hotel Del Luna” as the new hotel owner. Kim Soo-hyun also made a special appearance in “Crash Landing on You,” where he reprised his character from the movie “Secretly, Greatly.”Â
We’re definitely excited to see Park Seo-joon cameo role on “Record of Youth.” The two Parks appearing on the same screen will be worth the wait.
