South Korean network tvN released today the main poster of the upcoming drama series “Record of Youth.”
“Record of Youth” is about the lives of young adults who struggle to pursue their dreams. Park Bo-gum (“Encounter,” “Reply 1988,” “Love in the Moonlight”) plays the role of Sa Hye-joon, a pragmatic and ambitious model and aspiring actor who juggles idealism with the reality of everyday life. Park So-dam (“Parasite,” “Cinderella with Four Knights”) is Ahn Jung-ha, a smart, young make-up artist. Byeon Woo-seok (“Dear My Friends,” “Search: WWW”) plays Sa Hye-joon’s friendly and gentle but competitive best friend.
The main poster of “Record of Youth” shows its three main cast seemingly enjoying the power and beauty of their youth. Park So-dam, holding a camera as if documenting the moment, is standing between Byeon Woo-seo and Park Bo-gum.
In South Korea, tvN will be the first to broadcast “Record of Youth” starting September 7. It will premiere exclusively on Netflix in other countries.
Before releasing the main poster of “Record of Youth,” tvN yesterday dropped the series’ latest teaser. The 30-second teaser video shows the budding romance between Sa Hye-joon and Ahn Jung-ha. In a previous teaser, Bo-gum’s character contemplates on his dreams as he juggles multiple jobs as a model, actor, and waiter to make ends meet.
“Record of Youth” will be Park Bo-gum’s last drama before enlisting in the military this year. His agency Blossom Entertainment earlier confirmed that he will be joining the navy as a cultural promotion soldier next month.
“Record of Youth” is produced by Studio Dragon and Pan Entertainment (“Winter Sonata,” “The Moon Embracing the Sun,” “Fight for My Way,” “When the Camellia Blooms”). It is directed by An Gil-ho (“Stranger,” “Memories of Alhambra,” “Watcher” and written by Ha Myeong-hee (“Doctors,” “Temperature of Love.”
