Blackpink has been building up the excitement for their three-part comeback.  YG Entertainment today unveiled a teaser poster for Blackpink’s much-awaited full album.  The poster shows a pink crown and the date of release on October 2, 2020.

Last week, YG Entertainment released a teaser poster for another Blackpink single to be released next month, which teases a collaboration with a mystery artist.

Fans have been speculating that the mystery artist could be Ariana Grande.  However, several media reports are now saying that Blackpink could be collaborating with Selena Gomez.  Amid speculations, YG Entertainment has asked everyone to wait for the official announcement.

To kick off their comeback, last month the group debuted the single “How You Like That.”  Their music video now holds the record for the most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours.

Blackpink has also recently overtaken other female artists such as Ariana, Taylor Swift, and Katy Perry as the most subscribed female artist on YouTube. The girl group’s subscriber count has since risen to  42.7 million

Before becoming the most-subscribed female artist on YouTube, Blackpink also set a new record on Twitter. The microblogging site said Blackpink’s live Q&A session on June 30 reached a cumulative 2.2 million viewers. Blinks also made it #1 on Twitter’s worldwide trends during the livestream.

Meanwhile, Blackpink’s main rapper Jennie is also doing well in her solo career.  The music video for her debut single as a solo artist, aptly titled “Solo,” has hit more than 500 million views.  The music video debuted on November 12, 2018.
