Shin Seul-ki from season 2 of “Single’s Inferno” is now in her actress era as she stars in the tvN drama “Pyramid Game.” The thriller series premieres on February 29. Here’s what we can expect from Seul-ki and her latest project.
What is ‘Pyramid Game’ on tvN all about?
“Pyramid Game” is based on the webtoon of the same title and tells the story of Seong Su-ji, played by Bona, (“Twenty-Five, Twenty-One”), a transfer student who becomes a victim of school violence.
Seong Su-ji discovers a brutal ranking system at Baekyeon Girls’ High School. The class holds a popularity poll every Thursday of the month where students are ranked. The ranking in turn leads to school violence against the outcast.
From reality star to actress
Most may remember Shin Seul-ki as one of the popular contestants in “Single’s Inferno 2.” Her love triangle (or was it square?) with Kim Jin-young, a.k.a. YouTuber Dex, and barista Choi Jong-woo was probably the most anticipated storyline during that season. Shin Seul-ki went on to graduate from Seoul National University as a piano major after her reality show stint. She later signed on to become an actress under Big Smile Entertainment.
Shin Seul-ki plays the role of Seo Do-ah in the drama “Pyramid Game,” the class president and top student of Baekyeon Girls’ High School. She also serves as the moderator of the Pyramid Game. We can’t wait to see Shin Seul-ki in her acting debut!
“Pyramid Game” premieres on tvN with four episodes this February 29. Two new episodes will be shown subsequently every Thursday and the drama will have a total of ten episodes.
