SS501 holds fan meeting in Hong Kong

International fans of SS501 were treated to an afternoon of fangirl excitement as they get the chance to meet their favorite group at a fanmeeting held in Hong Kong Wednesday last week.  The fanmeeting was part of the promotion for SS501’s Persona Tour Concert which will start August this year in South Korea.

SS501 consisting of Kim Hyun Joong, Heo Young Saeng, Kim Kyu Jong, Park Jung Min and Kim Hyung Joon sang five songs including “Because I’m Stupid” from the original sound track of the hit Korean series “Boys Over Flowers.”  The song was originally sung by only three of the members because their leader Hyun Joong acted in the drama as Ji Hoo, one of the F4 members, while Jung Min was in the musical Grease.

Aside from the mini-concert, there was also the question and answer portion where fans got to know more about their favorite members and the group as a whole.  Fans went ecstatic when five of them were chosen to receive flowers from the boys and have solo pictures taken with them. These girls have lady luck on their side! Before the end of the event, fans were given a once-in-a lifetime chance to take group pictures with the boys.  Now who could beat that?

The event which was held at Hitec in Kowloon Bay was attended by an estimated 1,200 fans who came not only from Hong Kong but also from the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and the faraway Australia and Canada.
