STARGLOW hit the highway this summer with their single “Drivin’ My Life,” which launched on July 20.
The release did not arrive alone. Alongside the single came an action-movie music video, a callback to the group’s pre-debut history, a first-ever live DVD, and a sound marking a clear shift from their previous releases.
“Drivin’ My Life” is deliberately understated, built minimally and breezy around one simple idea: enjoy time with the people around you, and move forward at your own pace. Production comes from ANG, a Mexico-born, LA-based DJ and producer duo who blend J-pop and electronic textures into something built for a slow exhale rather than a peak-time rush.
The rest of the single rewards anyone who has followed STARGLOW for a while. “Good Boys Anthem” comes with a music video directed by Shinagawa Hiroshi, featuring real action choreography performed by the group. Sitting alongside it is a STARGLOW version of “GOTH,” the theme song from “Gate on the Horizon (GOTH),” a drama that starred members RUI, TAIKI, and KANON back when they were still trainees. For fans who have been with the group since before its official debut, it is a quiet nod back to where they began.
That momentum carries straight through the rest of the summer. STARGLOW released their first-ever live DVD and Blu-ray, “STARGLOW DEBUT SHOWCASE ‘Wish upon a Star,'” followed by additional arena dates on their fan meeting tour STAR CRUISE, and their first-ever appearance at SUMMER SONIC 2026.
It is a lot packed into one summer, but that is exactly the point. STARGLOW is not pacing themselves for later. They are building something right now, and inviting everyone watching, near or far, to grow with them.
