Thai actor and singer NuNew is set to make his Japan debut with his first Japanese single, “First Date at Shibuya,” followed by his first solo concert outside of Thailand.
With Japanese original title “渋谷の BAR で初めてのデイト,” the single is set to be released on November 20 under Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc.
Meanwhile, his exclusive solo concert titled “NuNew 1st Concert: Dream Catcher in Japan” will be held at Theater Milano-Za, located in Tokyu Kabukicho Tower in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
This milestone, according to Sony Music Japan, marks a groundbreaking step in NuNew’s career and a new chapter in the cultural exchange between Thailand and Japan.
‘Strengthening cultural ties between Southeast Asia and Japan’

“NuNew’s debut into Japan represents a significant milestone in strengthening cultural ties between Southeast Asia and Japan. He brings a unique combination of talents that perfectly aligns with Japan’s entertainment standards. Additionally, NuNew’s track record speaks to his potential in the Japanese market. He has already captured the hearts across Asia. Japan will find NuNew’s appeal to be the perfect blend of traditional Asian values and modern pop sensibilities. We are truly excited to create a new chapter in Asian entertainment with NuNew,” Sony Music Japan said in a press release.
The Thai star first captivated audiences in 2020 as an actor. His meteoric rise to fame has been marked by unprecedented success, with all four of his singles reaching #1 on major music charts. In August 2024, his first solo concert in Bangkok drew over 20,000 fans across two sold-out days. These achievements have cemented his position as one of Thailand’s influential entertainment figures.
NuNew, whose real name is Chawarin Perdpiriyawong (ชวรินทร์ เพริศพิริยะวงศ์), gained fame in Thailand and abroad in the 2022 boys’ love drama “Cutie Pie.” He played the role of university student Kuea Keerati and was paired with fellow Thai actor Pruk Panich. The duo reprised their roles in the sequel “Cutie Pie 2 You” and the spin-off “Naughty Babe.” NuNew also starred in the series “Mission Fan-Possible” and the movie “After Sundown.”
For his Japan debut concert, NuNew will hold two performances of “Dream Catcher”: “Daylight Dream” and “Twilight Dream,” promising an unforgettable experience for fans. Pre-sale tickets for the concert are now available via ticketbo.jp, followed by hotel packages on Tuesday, November 5.
