A failing marriage takes a dark turn when a man’s wife goes missing the day after he asks for a divorce in “The Husband” — an upcoming K-drama crime thriller coming July 4 to Disney+.
What started off as a marriage made in heaven for Tae-ju and Se-yun quickly descended into bickering and fighting, and after four years of misery, successful neurosurgeon Tae-ju finally decides to call it quits. But when Se-yun goes missing under suspicious circumstances the day after her husband asks for a divorce, Tae-ju suddenly becomes the prime suspect as he works to evade police and rescue his estranged wife.
Starring Namkoong Min (“Our Movie,” “My Dearest”) as Tae-ju – a successful doctor and the prime suspect in his wife’s disappearance — and Lee Seol (“Gold Land,” “Our Movie”) as Se-yun — a driven and disciplined chairperson of the hospital — “The Husband” is directed by Kim Jung-hyun (“Hyper Knife,” “Crazy Love”) and is written by Jung Jae-ha.
