Recent episodes have shifted the narrative focus following the murder of Antonio, played by Bernard Palanca. While characters Ben (Jericho Rosales) and Beth (Sofia Andres) were initial suspects, the plot revealed Nathalie as the perpetrator. This development inadvertently protected Ben, as Antonio had uncovered his secret meetings with Mara (Yassi Pressman). The storyline further explores Ben’s character as he eliminates Antonio’s private investigator, leaving viewers questioning his motives and his loyalty to his wife, Ana (Janine Gutierrez).

The cast has openly discussed the complexities of their roles. Gutierrez noted that her character’s layers are continually revealed throughout the script, crediting director Mae for helping her shape the performance. Rosales described Ben as one of his most challenging roles to date, noting that morally ambiguous characters are particularly interesting to portray.
