Cha Eun-woo stretches his acting chops in the teaser for a “Wonderful World” set to premiere March 1 on Disney+. The revenge series serves as Kim Nam-joo’s (“Misty,” “Queen of Housewives”) small screen comeback after six years.
“Everything starts with that day’s incident,” begins Kim Nam-joo’s character in the “Wonderful World” teaser. The video previews a tragic incident that fuels the revenge plot. We see a woman in bed with someone as the character asks, “Don’t I horrify you?.” This made us think: Will there be a love line between the main stars?
Meanwhile, we see Cha Eun-woo boxing and even welding in the “Wonderful World” teaser. “Does it look like I’m doing okay?,” he asks. The teaser shows heavy drama scenes and ends with Cha Eun-woo and Kim Nam-joo gazing at each other while sharing an umbrella.
‘Revenge-fueled’ drama
Kim Nam-joo stars as Eun Soo-hyun, a renowned professor of psychology and writer. Soo-hyun gets devastated by the tragic loss of her son. She becomes depressed and is consumed by thoughts of revenge.
Meantime, Cha Eun-woo is Gwon Seon-yul, a medical school dropout who bonds with Soo-hyun over their traumas. Seon-yul comes from a wealthy family but now lives a rough life after losing his parents.
Written by Kim Ji-eun (“Lie After Lie” ) and helmed by PD Lee Seung-young (“Tracer,” “Voice 2”), “Wonderful World” promises “a revenge fueled ride from start to finish.”
“Wonderful World” starts streaming on Disney+ on March 1.
