SEVENTEEN performed in front of a sold-out crowd during their 2-day Be The Sun concert in Manila at the SM Mall of Asia Arena last October 8 and 9. The 13-man K-pop sensations were at their finest, performing their hits to the delight of their ‘Filo Carats.’ Here are five things we absolutely loved about the SEVENTEEN Be The Sun concert in Manila.
1. Jaw-dropping group performances from the ‘K-pop stage-breakers’
SEVENTEEN opened the day 2 of their Be The Sun concert in Manila with a sizzling “Hot” performance, displaying their world-class synchronization and choreography. Their powerful on-stage presence filled the arena as they performed some of their hits, including “Left & Right,” “Shadow,” “_World,” and the ultimate hype song “Very Nice.”
2. Spectacular stage design in SEVENTEEN Be The Sun Concert in Manila
K-pop concerts won’t be complete without the amazing stage design and lighting. The stage looked like it was literally on fire at some point, matching the intensity of SEVENTEEN’s number. The arena transformed into a big club as the group treated their fans to a dance party. The concert was definitely a feast for the eyes and it’s not just because of the artists’ visuals.
3. Versatile unit performances
After their opening numbers, it was time for each of SEVENTEEN’s three units to display their versatile expertise. The performance unit– Hoshi, Jun, The8, and Dino– showed off their sexy and elegant moves with “Moonwalker” and “Wave.” It was time to chill when the vocal team– Woozi, Joshua, DK, Jeonghan, and Seungkwan–took the stage with “Come to Me” and the crowd-favorite “Imperfect Love.” Meanwhile, the hip hop unit– S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, and Vernon brought the house down with their rapping skills for “Gam3 Boi” and “Back It Up.”
4. SEVENTEEN playing on stage and with the audience
SEVENTEEN also took time to interact and play with the audience during the encore. The members showed off their playful chemistry, dancing and chatting happily on stage. It looked like not only the audience had a good time but the performers as well!
5. Tireless energy of ‘Filo Carats’
Before the show started until the end of the encore, ‘Filo Carats,’ as their Filipino fans are fondly called, packed the arena with their tireless energy. A fan dressed in a pizza costume danced happily as she was noticed by the members. Some who were wearing tiger and chicken onesies despite the heat, eagerly danced to the delight of everyone. Meanwhile, others excitedly volunteered to sing “Very Nice” along with the jumping crowd. The group thanked the audience for their “amazing energy” and promised to come back soon.
Thank you so much, Sebong! The concert was indeed more than ‘aju nice’!
