Bench on Thursday posted a save-the-date teaser for “Moments With Ji Chang Wook,” a fanmeet scheduled on August 4, 2024 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Hallyudorama first spotted the teaser on the Facebook page of Ji Chang-wook Philippines.
Ji Chang-wook held his first-ever fan meeting in the Philippines on November 6, 2022. Also presented by Bench in the Manila, it was part of the “Ji Chang Wook Fan Meeting Tour <Reach You>.” The tour kicked off in Seoul and included Jakarta, Manila, Osaka, and Bangkok.
Ji Chang-wook’s latest K-dramas
In 2020, Ji Chang-wook was supposed to meet his fans in the Philippines as part of his Asia tour. However, his visit had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ji Chang-wook most recently starred in the healing K-drama “Welcome to Samdal-ri” with Shin Hye-sun on Netflix. He also showcased his acting skills as an undercover cop in the Disney+ crime drama “The Worst of Evil” with Wi Ha-joon and Im Se-mi.
For his performance in “The Worst of Evil,” the Hallyu Dorama team selected Ji Chang-wook as one of our top picks for favorite actor in 2023.
“His character was supposed to be good who pretended to be bad to infiltrate the gang. You can see the conflict in himself,” our co-founder Hannah Petrache wrote. In “The Worst of Evil,” Ji Chang-wook’s character joined the gang and actually got embroiled in the chaos.
“You can feel the insecurity of his character. You will really pity his character because in the end you’re gonna ask ‘what’s the point of all of these?’” Petrache added.
He is set to play a detective role again in another Disney+ crime drama, “Gangnam B-Side,” which is scheduled for release this year.
Ji Chang-wook also appears in “My Name Is Gabriel,” a reality show on Disney+ where participating celebrities are sent abroad to live someone else’s life for 72 hours. He will also star in the sageuk drama “Queen Woo.”
