“Express Delivery: Mongolia Edition,” a variety show featuring Korean celebrities delivering parcels in Mongolia, premieres August 24, Thursday, at 10:30 p.m., Manila time, on tvN Asia.

The ten-episode reality show features “Dragon Club” members Kim Jong-kook, Hong Kyung-min, Jang Hyuk, Cha Tae-hyun, and Hong Kyung-in with younger actor Kang Hoon. The group embarks on an adventure and becomes delivery men in Mongolia, which has no reliable delivery infrastructure.

“Dragon Club” refers to a 2017 reality show featuring the five celebrities who were all born in 1976, the Year of the Dragon.

Currently airing every Wednesday at 10:30 p.m., Manila time, is “Brotherhood Expedition: Maya.” In the cast of this new variety are Cha Seung-won, Kim Sung-kyun, and Juyeon. The three of them set off on an expedition to Mexico, delving into the Mayan Empire’s captivating remnants and unraveling the mysteries surrounding Maya civilization.

Meanwhile, the Korean variety “BRO & MARBLE in Dubai” will air its finale on August 25, Friday, at 10:30 p.m., Manila time. The show features popular ‘bros’ Lee Seung-gi, Yoo Yeon-seok, Kyuhyun, Ji Seok-jin, Lee Dong-hwi, Jo Se-ho, and Joshua and Hoshi from SEVENTEEN.

In “BRO & MARBLE in Dubai,” the cast are transported to Dubai to play Korea’s iconic, board game Blue Marble with unexpected challenges. The finale will reveal who will survive and seize both friendship and money as the ultimate winning ‘bro.’

K-dramas this August 2023 on tvN Asia

Also currently airing on tvN Asia are the K-dramas “Confession” and “Something in the Rain.”

“Confession,” a 2019 legal drama, features Lee Jun-ho, Shin Hyun-been, Yoo Jae-myung, and Nam Gi-ae. After a heart transplant saved Do-hyun’s (Lee Jun-ho) life, his father was convicted of murder and sentenced to death. To prove his innocence, Do-hyun becomes a lawyer and investigates the case. Watch “Confession” on tvN Asia every Tuesday and Wednesday at 9:15 p.m., Manila Time.

On the other hand, “Something in the Rain” is a 2018 romance K-drama starring Son Ye-jin, Jung Hae-in, and Jang So-yeon. When a single career woman (Son Ye-jin) reunites with her best friend’s younger brother (Jung Hae-in) after he returns from three years of working abroad, their efforts to reconnect grow into romance. “Something in the Rain” airs on tvN Asia every Thursday and Friday at 9:00 p.m., Manila time.

Summer school on tvN

Three Korean dramas in a school setting are also featured this month on tvN Asia. Catch them every 12:30 p.m., Manila time.

Based on a hit webtoon, “Duty After School” stars Shin Hyun-soo, Lee Soon-won, Im Se-mi, Moon Sang-min, Kim Ki-hae, and Choi Moon-hee. Amid the war against mysterious alien spheres invading the world, the government decides to increase military power by offering college admission incentives to get the students to sign up for the reserved forces. “Duty After School” is airing until August 22.

On the other hand, the romance series “All That We Loved” features a love triangle among EXO’s Sehun, Cho Jun-young, Jang Yeo-Bin. When your best friend falls for the girl you like, which will you choose — bromance or romance? Catch “All That We Loved” from August 23 to 26.

Finally, “Cheongdam International High School,” starring Lee Eun-saem and Kim Ye-rim, is about two girls of different status and goals facing off against each other.
