Kim Ji-won of the hit K-drama “Queen of Tears” will be in Manila for a fan meeting on August 3, according to her agency.
HighZium studio Co., in an announcement on May 28, listed Manila as one of the stops of the “2024 Kim Ji-won Asia Fan Meeting Tour <Be My One>.”
On June 4, PULP Live World announced that Kim Ji-won’s “Be My One” fanmeet will be held at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City on August 3, 2024 at 6 p.m.
As announced earlier, “Be My One,” Kim Ji-won’s first-ever fan meeting series, will kick off in Seoul on June 22 and 23. It will then be held in the following cities:
- Osaka, Japan – July 7
- Tokyo, Japan – July 10
- Taipei, Taiwan – July 21
- Manila, Philippines – August 3
- Macau – August 17
- Bangkok, Thailand – August 24
- Jakarta, Indonesia – August 31
More details of Kim Ji-won’s August 3 fan meeting in Manila have yet to be announced.
Kim Ji-won played the character of conglomerate heiress Hong Hae-in in the recently concluded Netflix drama “Queen of Tears.” Her lawyer husband, played by Kim Soo-hyun, wanted to divorce her, but he postponed his plan upon learning that she was terminally ill. The couple fell in love with each other again, but their family faced more problems on top of Hae-in’s health condition.
“Queen of Tears,” the second highest-rated drama of all time on tvN and is on its 11th week on Netflix’s top 10 non-English shows, made Kim Ji-won and Kim Soo-hyun more popular internationally.
Kim Soo-hyun is also holding a fan meeting tour in Asia this year, and he will be in Manila on June 29.
Even after “Queen of Tears” ended, its fans continued to fill the internet with photos of the BaekHong couple. Many are also hoping that SooWoon will also happen in real life.

Kim Ji-won gained popularity for another heiress role in the 2013 K-drama “The Heirs” with Lee Min-ho, Park Shin-hye, Kim Woo-bin, Park Hyung-sik, and Kang Ha-neul, among others.
She then appeared as the second female lead opposite Jin Goo in “Descendants of the Sun,” which stars Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo.
In “Fight For My Way” (2017), she and Park Seo-joon were friends who turned lovers, while in “Lovestruck in the City” (2020), she ghosted Ji Chang-wook.
Kim Ji-won was the enchanting priestess Tan-ya in the first season of the epic drama “Arthdal Chronicles.” In “My Liberation Notes,” (2022), her most recent drama before, “Queen of Tears,” she was a rural woman wishing for freedom from her monotonous life.
