Kim Soo-hyun Is Back as Bench Brand Ambassador

South Korean superstar Kim Soo-hyun has returned to the roster of brand ambassadors of Filipino clothing brand Bench.

“Worry no more because starting today, you’ll get to see much more of him! Kim Soo Hyun’s long-awaited comeback has finally arrived!” Bench said in its social media posts on Saturday.

Kim Soo-hyun, reportedly Korea’s highest-paid actor, recently starred in the hit Netflix K-drama “Queen of Tears” with Kim Ji-won. He played the role of the lawyer husband of a conglomerate heiress. “Queen of Tears” topped Netflix’s non-English TV shows. It also broke records in Korea and is now tvN’s highest-rated television series.

Bench previously announced Kim Soo-hyun as an international brand ambassador on July 15, 2021.

The clothing and lifestyle brand also held a fan meeting for him on June 10, 2022 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. The fanmeet was called “One Extraordinary Day with Kim Soo-hyun,” a word play on the title of his K-drama that year.

He then returned to the Philippines on January 17, 2023 for the “Nothing Like Dunkin” fanmeet. Donut and coffee brand Dunkin’ organized the event, which was held at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. Watch our videos of the fanmeet:

Kim Soo-hyun is also scheduled to return to the Philippines this month for a fan meeting. “Eyes on You,” the Manila leg of the “2024 Kim Soo Hyun Asia Tour,” is happening on June 29, 6 p.m., at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

He rose to international fame for playing the role of an alien in “My Love From the Star” with Gianna Jun. He also displayed his acting prowess as a king in the classic fantasy sageuk “Moon Embracing the Sun.” In 2020, he was the lead actor in the healing drama “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay.” In the 2022 K-drama “One Ordinary Day,” he played the role of a college student who became the primary suspect in a murder case.
