Family: The Unbreakable Bond

After years of leading a secret double life as both a family man and a highly accomplished agent for South Korea’s National Intelligence Service (NIS), things go south quickly for Kwon Do-hoon in “Family: The Unbreakable Bond,” a new Korean spy comedy series coming to Disney+ April 17.

For years NIS agent Kwon Do-hoon has managed to keep his occupation secret from everyone, including his beloved wife. Having convinced his friends and family that he is nothing more than an employee at a local trading company, Do-hoon works tirelessly to keep up the charade and give his wife the perfect family she has always dreamed of, but little does Do-hoon know his wife has an explosive secret of her own.

Starring Jang Hyuk (“Money Flower,” “Deep Rooted Tree”) as NIS agent Kwon Do-hoon; Jang Nara (“The Last Empress,” “VIP”) as Kang Yu-ra, a housewife with a secret; and Chae Jung-an (“Coffee Prince,” “Yong-pal”) as Oh Cheon-ryun, an NIS operative and Do-hoon’s boss, “Family: The Unbreakable Bond” is directed by Jang Jeong-do (“Alchemy of Souls,” “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim”) and Lee Jung-muk (“Our Blues”) and is written by Jung Yoo-seon (“Evergreen”).

Slated to launch April 17 with new episodes released every Monday and Tuesday, fans of Korean dramas can subscribe to Disney+ today to enjoy access to “Big Bet,” about a serial entrepreneur who suddenly finds himself wanted for murder; “Big Mouth,” about an inept lawyer who is arrested as the key suspect in a murder case he is working on, “Soundtrack #1” about two friends who are secretly in love with each other, and countless hours of other world class entertainment.

Produced by Studio Dragon, one of entertainment powerhouse CJ ENM’s production studios, “Family: The Unbreakable Bond” starts streaming from April 17, on Disney+ with new episodes released every Monday and Tuesday.
