Two of the most sought after Korean actors – Lee Jong-suk and Park Hyung-sik – are back after completing their mandatory military service. Here’s why we’re excited for their comeback.

Lee Jong-suk is Finally Home

Lee Jong-suk served as a public service worker after enlisting in March 2019. In his latest Instagram post, he posted two black and white photos of himself with the caption “I’m home.”

Lee Jong-suk was last seen in the romance drama “Romance is a Bonus Book” opposite Lee Na-young. And while the drama was heartwarming, it’s safe to say that it was a comeback project for the more veteran Lee Na-young.

Post military service, Lee Jong-suk was reported to make a special appearance in the film “The Witch 2,” a sequel to “The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion.” Aside from this, there was a rumor last year that he’s in talks to star in a drama opposite Song Hye-kyo. His management has yet to confirm this.

  • “While You Were Sleeping” (available on Netflix, Viki, and Viu)
  • “Romance is a Bonus Book” (available on Netflix)

Park Hyung-sik is the latest Korean star discharged from the military. He served as an active duty soldier in the Capital Defense Command after enlisting in June 2019.

His agency United Artists Agency (UAA) released new photos of Park Hyung-sik on the day of his release. The 29-year-old actor and singer looked as baby-faced as ever in his new profile shots.

There have been no reports yet regarding the comeback project of Park Hyung-sik, who was last seen in the Korean adaptation of “Suits.” For now, we can all happily rewatch some of his previous works.

  • “Strong Girl Bong-Soon” (available on Netflix, Viki, and Viu)

We look forward to seeing Lee Jong-suk and Park Hyung-sik in new roles that would showcase their acting chops. Welcome back, boys!
