Must See ‘You’re Beautiful’

I think I’m going to be finally cured of my BOF addiction thanks to the new trendy drama “You’re Beautiful” starring cutie Jang Geun Suk, Park Shin Hye, Jung Yong Hwa, and Lee Hong Ki.

Jang Geun Suk is Hwang Tae Kyung, the lead singer of the idol band A.N. Jell who is very famous in Korea.  He is cute, in his own grumpy way and loves to sneer.  He wears an eyeliner by the way. A lot of fangirls adore him though because well, he is really good looking and talented.  But they have to bring in another member to the band because he’s having some vocal (throat?) problems.

Here comes Go Mi Nam or rather Go Mi Nyeo, both portrayed by Park Shin Hye. Confused now? Go Mi Nam is the new A.N Jell member. However, he is having some corrective surgery done in the US because of a surgery-gone-awry and will be gone for a month.  The agency is eager to sign Mi Nam at the soonest possible time so his manager has no choice but to look for Mi Nyeo and ask her to pretend to be her twin brother.  Go Mi Nyeo is an apprentice nun bound for Rome but things did not go as planned (it is definitely God’s will). In the end, she signed the contract and became Go Mi Nam.

The two other A.N. Jell members are Shin Woo and Jeremy played by Jung Yong Hwa and Lee Hong Ki respectively.  Shin Woo has a gentle and kind personality, unlike the bad tempered Tae Kyung while Jeremy is the childish and most imaginative of them three.

So what happens after Go Min Nyeo enters the band? A lot of laughs and cracktastic scenes (plus heartaches) ensue of course.  This drama is definitely a must-watch to those who want a good stress reliever at the middle of the week.
