“Tokyo Revengers 2: Bloody Halloween – Destiny,” a Japanese sci-fi action film based on the best-selling manga “Tokyo Revengers” by Wakui Ken, is now showing in more than 100 theaters in the Philippines.
The film stars Kitamura Takumi (“Yu Yu Hakusho”), Yamada Yuki (“D-Boys,” “Godzilla Minus One”), Yoshizawa Ryo (“Kamen Rider Fourze”), and Mio Imada (“Boys Over Flowers Season 2”), among others. It is directed by Hanabusa Tsutomu.

In “Tokyo Revengers 2: Bloody Halloween – Destiny,” lead character Takemichi (Kitamura Takumi) witnesses his beloved Hinata (Imada Mio) being murdered by the Tokyo Manji Gang, also known as Toman. To save her, he travels back in time to a violent event called Bloody Halloween. Viewers can anticipate intense action and physical sequences as members of Toman and Valhalla gangs engage in an all-out war during the Bloody Halloween.
‘Largest set in the history of Japanese cinema’
The fight scenes were filmed in a large junkyard set described by producer Okada Shota as “the largest set in the history of Japanese cinema.” One-third of the entire two-parter was shot in that set, which was scorching during the daytime. The cast and the staff jokingly claimed they were “hanging from wires and doing all-out action in the sauna.”

The film’s dialogues were done almost entirely on the set as well. Action director Morokaji Yuta said he wanted to show how the emotions of the characters play against the sharpness of the action scenes. “There’s almost no dubbing,” he said.
“Tokyo Revengers: Bloody Halloween – Destiny” is an Encore Films presentation under Warner Bros. distribution. Visit Encore Films Philippines on Facebook to know where to watch the movie.
Meanwhile, “Tokyo Revengers 2: Bloody Halloween- Decisive Battle,” the end of the two-part saga, is scheduled to arrive in Philippine cinemas on February 7.
