“The Impossible Heir,” starring Lee Jae-wook, Lee Jun-young, and Hong Su-zu, has released a teaser that got us excited! The revenge drama premieres on Disney+ this February 28.
The series revolves around the main characters who will try to take the throne of Korea’s largest conglomerate. Lee Jun-young (“Love and Leashes”) stars as Kang In-ha, the illegitimate son of Kangoh group. He enlists the help of his ambitious childhood friend Han Tae-oh, played by Lee Jae-wook (“Alchemy of Souls”). Han Tae-oh is an “elegant and cold-hearted” person whose father killed his mother. Meanwhile, Hong Su-zu (“Sweet Home 2”) plays the role of Na Hye-won, the daughter of a debt collector.
Lee Jae-wook, Lee Jun-young are underdogs in ‘The Impossible Heir’ teaser
“The Impossible Heir” teaser introduces each character starting off with Lee Jae-wook as Han Tae-oh. Na Hye-won wonders, “Don’t you want to know where we’ll be ten years from now?” They are reduced to a murderer’s son, an illegitimate heir, and a gambler’s daughter.
Shunned by society, these underdogs aspire to get to the top of the food chain. “Let’s get revenge on those who ignored and tormented us,” says Kang In-ha. “What a modest dream you have,” Han Tae-oh replies. Han Tae-oh plans to make Kang In-ha the chairman of Kangoh group. “Don’t worry. I’m going to make you perfect,” he tells the latter.
Meanwhile, we also see a possible love line between Kang In-ha and Na Hye-won. We see her walking hand in hand with Inha and is later shown wearing a wedding dress. However, it’s unclear if this is all just a part of their plan. “I want Kangoh’s future as well as the present,” she quips.
Helmed by PD Min Yeon-hong (“Missing: The Other Side”) and written by Choi Won, “The Impossible Heir” is described as a “ruthless revenge drama.”
“The Impossible Heir” starts streaming on Disney+ on February 28.
