ZEROBASEONE, often described as trailblazers of the fifth generation of K-pop, has released its first full album, “NEVER SAY NEVER,” along with the music video for its title track, “ICONIK.”

A U.S. physical release of the album remains available for pre-order and will officially drop on September 5 through major retailers including Target, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, KPOP NARA, and more. Since ZEROBASEONE’s debut in July 2023, the group has been rewriting K-pop history with their dynamic energy and refreshing style. The arrival of “NEVER SAY NEVER” signals a bold new chapter in their musical journey, expanding their artistic identity while showcasing the spirit of “TEAM ZEROBASEONE.”

Building on the group’s completed “Youth Trilogy” and two-part “Paradise” series, the album captures what the nine-member act calls their most iconic moment to date. With its message of perseverance, it encourages listeners to keep striving for something ‘iconic’ in ordinary lives: “NEVER SAY NEVER — nothing is impossible if you don’t give up.”

The 10-track record blends diverse genres to reflect ZEROBASEONE’s vision of music that is “mature, powerful, and fresh.” Following the buzz of their pre-release single “SLAM DUNK,” the title track “ICONIK” reinforces their presence with commanding performances and lyrics about defying gravity to reach the moon. The track highlights each member’s individuality while delivering the group’s message: “Regardless of what others think, we can become iconic on our own.”

With this first full-length release, ZEROBASEONE members step beyond the role of fifth-generation leaders to establish themselves as a force that transcends generational boundaries. Adding to the momentum, the group will soon embark on their second world tour, HERE&NOW, which features 11 shows across seven regions. The tour begins in South Korea from October 3 to 5, then moves to Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

In July 2023, tvN aired “CAMP ZEROBASEONE,” a reality show where the nine members of ZEROBASEONE embarked on a mysterious trip in a customized camping car. Later that year, the group visited the Philippines to to perform at the Asia Artist Awards, where they received the AAA Best Musician Award alongside four other honorees.
