Tagalog-dubbed versions of “Hotel Del Luna” and “Lie After Lie” started streaming on Viu Philippines last Friday.
Unravel the Mysteries of ‘Hotel Del Luna,’ Now Dubbed in Tagalog
A fantasy-mystery Korean drama series, the story of “Hotel Del Luna” takes place at a hotel for ghosts.
It stars Lee Ji-eun or IU as Jang Man-weol, Hotel Del Luna’s owner for more than a millennium. Meanwhile, Yeo Jin-goo is Ku Chan Seong, a young Harvard graduate who gets hired as manager of the hotel because of a deal between Man-weol and his father. Secrets unfold as the relationship between Man-wol and Chan-sung develops.
Also in the cast are Jung Dong-hwan as the retiring manager of “Hotel Del Luna” and Shing Jung-geun as the hotel’s longest employee.
Watch out for the cameo appearance of Lee Joon-gi, who starred with IU in “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo.” Nam Da-reum, the young Han Ji-pyeong in “Start-Up,” also has a guest appearance in “Hotel Del Luna.”
‘Life After Lie’ Now Also in Tagalog
“Lie After Lie” is about a mother’s quest to reunite with her daughter, as well as her fight for truth and justice.
Ji Eun-su, played by Lee Yoo-ri, marries into a rich and powerful clan. She gets jailed for allegedly murdering her husband. She gives birth to a baby girl in prison, but her daughter is taken away from her. Upon her release from prison, she tries to get her daughter back.
This K-drama also stars Yeon Jung-hoon as Kang Ji-min, a kind-hearted journalist. His character helps Ji Eun-su expose the truth about her case. He also happens to adopt her daughter.
Also Streaming: Tagalog-Dubbed ‘Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo,’ ‘Tale of the Nine-Tailed’
Last month, Viu added the K-drama classic “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo,” and the fantasy series “Tale of the Nine-Tailed” in its library of Tagalog-dubbed South Korean dramas.
In February, Viu Philippines also started streaming “Flower of Evil” and “Welcome to Waikiki” in Tagalog.
Viu Philippines launched its Tagalog-dubbed content in November with the release of “Emergency Couple” and “When the Weather is Fine.”
It started offering the Tagalog-dubbed versions of “The Beauty Inside” and “Another! Miss Oh” on Christmas Day last year.
