It’s that time of the month again where we give you our ultimate November 2022 K-dramas list. We’re not going to sugarcoat anything here but some plots do sound familiar. Which ones are you excited to watch?
Curtain Call
Who: Ha Ji-won, Kang Ha-neul, Go Doo-shim, Sung Dong-il, Kwon Sang-woo
When: October 31
Where: Prime Video
Plot: Ja Geum-soon (Go Doo-shim) is a hotel chain owner in South Korea who defected from North Korea during the war. Meanwhile, Yoon Jae-heon (Kang Ha-neul) is a theater actor who agrees to act as Geum-soon’s grandson in order to fulfill her last wish to be reunited with her family.
The Fabulous
Who: Choi Min-ho, Chae Soo-bin, Lee Sang-woon, Park Hee-jung
When: Originally scheduled to premiere on Nov. 4 but was postponed to give way to the national mourning period of Korea after the Itaewon Halloween crush
Where: Netflix
Plot: “The Fabulous” revolves around the fashion world and chronicles the highs and lows of millennial professionals. Ji Woo-min (Choi Min-ho) is a fashion photographer who is competent yet lacks passion for his job. Pyo Ji-eun (Chae Soo-bin) is a marketer who struggles to survive in the fashion industry.
Behind Every Star
Who: Lee Seo-jin, Kwak Sun-young
When: November 7
Where: Netflix
Plot: This K-drama is a remake of the French series “Call My Agent.” It depicts the lives of people working in Method Entertainment. Ma Tae-oh (Lee Seo-jin) is the general director who uses all tricks to achieve his goals. Meanwhile, Cheon Je-in (Kwak Sun-young) is the team leader who is hot-tempered, competitive, and often butts heads with the director.
Revenge of Others
Who: Lomon, Shin Ye-eun
When: November 8
Where: Disney+
Plot: This is a high school revenge drama about Ok Chan-mi (Shin Ye-eun) who chases after the truth related to her twin brother’s death. She gets involved with Ji Soo-heon (Lomon) and together they take revenge against the perpetrators.
The First Responders
Who: Kim Rae-won, Son Ho-jun, Gong Seung-yeon
When: November 12
Where: TBA
Plot: “The First Responders” is a drama about members of the police force, fire department, and paramedics. Kim Rae-won is Jin Ho-gae, a police detective with the highest arrest rate. Son Ho-jun plays fearless firefighter Bong Do-jin. Meanwhile, Gong Seung-yeon is the paramedic Song Seol, who is passionate about her work. They join forces together to respond to crimes, disasters, and emergencies.
Weak Hero Class 1
Who: Park Ji-hoon, Choi Hyun-wook, Hong Kyung, Shin Seung-ho
When: November 17
Where: TBA
Plot: This drama is an adaptation of the webtoon “Weak Hero.” Park Ji-hoon plays Yeon Si-eun, a model student who seems to be weak. However, he fights violence inside and outside of school using his intelligence and fighting skills.
Reborn Rich
Who: Song Joong-ki, Lee Sung-min, Shin Hyun-been, Tiffany
When: November 18
Where: Viu Philippines
Plot: “Reborn Rich” is based on the webtoon “The Chaebol’s Youngest Son.” Song Joong-ki is Yoon Hyun-woo, an employee of Sunyang group who was betrayed and murdered by Jin Do-joon, the youngest son of the family who owns Sunyang. He is reincarnated in the body of Jin and so he plots his revenge to take over the Sunyang group.
Somebody
Who: Kim Young-kwang, Kang Hae-lim, Kim Yong-ji, Kim Soo-yeon
When: November 18
Where: Netflix
Plot: “Somebody” is a suspense thriller about a woman named Kim Sum (Kang Hae-lim) who gets caught up in a series of murders connected to a social networking app that she developed. She soon meets Sung Yoon-o, a mysterious architect with a dark secret.
Casino
Who: Choi Min-sik, Son Seok-koo, Lee Dong-hwi, Heo Sung-tae, Ryu Hyun-kyung
When: TBA
Where: Disney+
Plot: This crime-action drama will follow a man who struggles to achieve his goal of becoming a casino mogul. He is set back by a series of unfortunate events and begins to risk everything he has, including his own life. Some of the scenes in the drama were reportedly shot in the Philippines.
Please Send Me a Fan Letter
Who: Choi Soo-young, Yoon Park
When: November 26
Where: TBA
Plot: “Please Send Me a Fan Letter” is a romantic comedy about a single father who badly wants to grant the wish of her daughter who has leukemia. He starts writing fake replies to his daughter’s fan letters for her idol Han Gang-hee, a popular actress played by Soo-young.
Summer Strike
Who: Im Si-wan, Kim Seol-hyun
When: TBA
Where: Viki
Plot: This drama was adapted from the webtoon “I Don’t Feel Like Doing Anything.” Lee Yeo-reum (Kim Seol-hyun) seems to have it all with a stable career and relationship. But when tragedy strikes, she decides to quit her job to move to the seaside and do nothing for a while. There she meets Ahn Dae-bum (Im Si-wan), a stuttering librarian with skeletons in his closet. The plot seems quite familiar and we wonder how it will be different from the 2021 hit “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha.”
