Shin Min-a, Kim Young-dae, Lee Sang-yi, Han Ji-hyeon, and more are starring in “No Gain No Love,” a modern romance about not wanting to lose out on love, money, and career.
Two years after her last drama, “Our Blues,” rom-com queen Shin Min-a is back with a modern and relatable heroine. Shin Min-a has solidified her status as a rom-com queen with K-dramas like “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha,” “Oh My Venus,” and “My Girlfriend is a Gumiho.” Through “No Gain No Love,” Shin Min-a would introduce fans to her new bold side in addition to her usual lovely charm.
Prime Video customers in more than 240 countries and territories can watch new episodes of this rom-com about gains and losses in love weekly, on Mondays and Tuesdays, starting August 26.
Son Hae-yeong, played by Shin Min-a, has encountered loss after loss in family, love, and work. To change her luck and avoid missing out on a promotion, Hae-yeong ends up seeking a fake wedding with her neighborhood convenience store employee Kim Ji-uk, played by Kim Young Dae (“The Forbidden Marriage,” “Moon in the Day”).
Kim Ji-uk is known for being a model neighborhood citizen and works night shifts at a convenience store. A local hero who cannot ignore others in need, he agreed to Hae-yeong’s ridiculous proposal to be her fake groom for her fake wedding.
The series also features Lee Sang-yi (“Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha,” “Bloodhounds”) and Han Ji-hyeon (“Cheer Up,” “The Penthouse”) as second lead actors. Lee Sang-yi plays the role of third-generation chaebol Bok Gyu-hyun, who is the CEO of the company where Hae-yeong works. Meanwhile, Han Ji-hyeon portrays Nam Ja-yeon, a popular R-rated web novel writer and Hae-yeong’s family-like friend and roommate.
Director Kim Jung-sik (“Strong Woman Kang Nam-soon”; “Work Later, Drink Now”) will be helming “No Gain No Love,” and the series is written by Kim Hye-young (“Her Private Life”).
